Ipsy Glam Bag :: March 2019

Ipsy Glam Bag :: March 2019

This month’s Ipsy Glam Bag theme is #ipsySHEro, celebrating female-founded brands and girl boss staples in honor of National Women’s History Month. Really cool of them to put the spotlight on some badass babe brands this month. While it may not make a difference to some, I personally love it when I know a woman “beat the odds” and excelled in the business world and pursued her dreams without letting anyone or anything stop her.

This month’s theme includes a beautiful rose gold chrome cosmetic bag with “and off she went to change the world” imprinted on one side, this bag also includes a royal blue zipper with star pull. This bag screams “fill me up with your highlighters and glittery things!!!” and you know what? I’m probably going to do just that lol. It would also make a good on-the-go nail case, for your polish, press-ons and tools. (Pro tip: always carry nail glue in your travel bag because you never know when you or a friend will need it on the fly).

20190319_130623#1: HELIOS Luminor Polish :: Livin’ Lovely
In Greek mythology, Helios is the god and personification of the Sun. That being said, the name tells me that this polish is going to be strong and glorious. Side note, on the side of the package it says they are part of the Pretty Woman family which makes me even more excited because I love love love that brand and their products! This polish is 13-Free (which includes being cruelty free as well as Vegan) and goes on smooth. While one coat could easily have you out the door and on your way, a second coat brings out this beautiful orchid color even more and is perfect for Spring.

#2: CIATE LONDON Mini Lip Lustre :: Wildfire
Know for their line of Glitter Flip liquid lipsticks, Ciate London actually makes a wide variety of makeup products, including nail polish, eye shadows and powders. I’ve received a wide variety of their products in previous Ipsy Glam Bags and they never disappoint. While I’m usually not a fan of lip glosses, I like this one. It’s not too sticky and is a pretty shade that gives a slight glitter and highlight to your lips. I can see myself keeping this in my purse for days when I don’t want to do my makeup but still want a little pop on my lips.

20190319_130753#3: OFRA COSMETICS Highlighter :: Star Island
Ofra is by far one of my favorite makeup brands when it comes to highlighters. This one arrived at the perfect time too since my current one (which I received in the Ipsy: Generation Beauty bag) is running very very low. Ofra knows how to give the perfect amount of shimmer without looking caked on or chunky. Whenever I use it,  get complimented on how pretty my highlight is. This shade would also make a pretty inner corner eye shadow color too.

#4: BUBBLE T COSMETICS Lotion :: Lemongrass & Green Tea
Another enjoyable item in this month’s bag! I’ve used this stimulating body lotion many times and this one is perfectly sized for living in your purse. I really enjoy the simple and clean smell, as well as the fact that it doesn’t feel heavy or greasy. I’ve also caught my fiance running off with this one before too, so ladies watch your men/women with this one lol.

20190319_130711#5: SLMISSGLAM Short Shader Brush :: SS62
I’ve received many of this brand of brushes in my Ipsy Glam Bags before but never really knew who they were made by (thank you Ipsy for including an info sheet now). They’re pretty and feel nice, which is always a plus with brushes. The tapered handle with a little extra width where you’ll be holding the brush makes it easy to be in control of where you’re applying makeup (which is helpful for those of us with shakier hands). And of course, glitter makes everything better <3

There ya go! This month’s Ipsy Glam Bag goodies! Remember, everyone’s bags are different and the chances of you getting the same products as me are slim.
